We’d like you to have knowledge of professional and collegiate sports, plus be an avid sports fan.
You’ll work with the me – “Q” the Senior Editor at NWSportsbeat.com and be given assignments requiring quick turnaround including features, previews, recaps and team or school updates.
This is a great opportunity for freelancers, students or hobbyists to be published in a high quality publication and gain exposure and experience.
Our first preference would be to give bloggers a place to blog if they don’t have their own website. We’ll get your articles read as our specialty is SEO (Search Engine Optimization) – We know how to get eyes on your blog posts.
However if you’ve got a website, and want to make some money writing for us pay rate is negotiable.
Dependent on length of article. Payable via Paypal.
When contacting us please KNOW that we’ll expect to see writing samples or have you provide links to your work.

Articles are expected to be approximatly 250-700 words. You can do longer, but this is ideal length.
Expect your articles to be proof read, and edited. We are in the “Make The Search Engines Happy With Us — Ok Make Google happy folks, so will do what we can to get your writing the viewing audience it needs, even if that means tweaking some things here and there for best exposure.
Articles must be Northwest sports related.
All major sports teams, and college and amateur sports will probably be accepted.
If writing about Rugby Union in Australia, we’ll probably have to pass. Our audience is primarily based in Oregon, Washington State, Idaho, California, and British Columbia…maybe even Alaska!
