Saturday, the Giants began life without Gallagher and dropped a 4-2 game to the Lethbridge Hurricanes. Jaimen Yakubowski had two goals, one of them on a penalty shot, to end the Giants’ win streak at three games. It was Morrison’s fifth loss since joining the Giants.

Player Spotlight
Brendan Gallagher is hoping to turn a head turning Habs camp into a spot on the Canadian Junior this team as camp gets underway in Alberta.
With Giants coach Don Hay heading Team Canada, Gallagher should be able to stave off being one of the initial cuts as he was last year.
24 goals and 46 points in 28 games since returning from Montreal, don’t be surprised to see Gallagher wearing the maple leaf on Boxing Day.
Glen Hanlon will run the bench while Don Hay performs his duties with Team Canada.
The Giants will also lose second-leading scorer Marek Tvrdon to Slovakia’s world junior entry Dec. 15 while defenceman David Musil is heading for the Czech camp Dec. 18.
Next Game
The Giants are in Seattle tomorrow night hoping to keep their hot streak going.
They’re 11-3-1 in their last 14, but as mentioned they will be missing two very important pieces to Team Canada.
