Don’t be fooled into thinking they are going to challenge for the league title though.
Oregon State has scheduled well, beating a lot of second and third rate programs. It ain’t right but lots of teams do it.
The Beavers will be taking on a Huskies team that has been woefully inconsistent. If they are going to keep winning they are going to have to prove that they can score against good competition. They are currently 8th in the nation in scoring averaging 83.4 points per game.

The Huskies are happy to play in the 80’s so it will be up to Jared Cunningham and Co. to show that they put the ball in the basket when challenged by similar or better calibre athletes.
Washington
Hopefully the Washington Huskies have used the last 6 weeks to get the all kinks out. In my opinion they are the most talented team in the PAC 12 and my pick for the conference champs. They get a nice start with the Beavers and Ducks coming to town this week.
Neither team is particularly strong and shouldn’t be able to exploit the Huskies weakness in the paint.
They desperately need a strong start to get back in the good graces of the media if they want to be a lock for the tournament in March.
Washington has been getting beat because even though they can score with pretty much anyone they are having trouble defending. This is surprising because they are absolutely loaded with athletic players, especially on the perimeter. Included among them are Terrence Ross and Tony Wroten.
The soph-frosh combo fill the stat sheet and are the best tandem in the PAC 12.
Wroten leads the team in scoring even though he only plays 26 minutes per game
