Trailblazers In The News: Camby & Sabonis

Camby cleared of marijuana charges

It turns out Portland Trail Blazers center Marcus Camby can focus on the lockout after all instead of trouble with the law. He and cousin Kendal Johnson were arrested last month after police found marijuana cigarettes in their car during a traffic stop in a designated school zone.

But, this week, Johnson took all the blame, meaning Camby walks free.

Marcus Camby was cleared of marijuana charges

Johnson admitted to possessing the dope, clearing Camby of responsibility.

“For the record, Marcus Camby did not get charged with a crime and Marcus Camby did not possess any marijuana,” said Randall Novak, Camby’s lawyer.

Way to fall on that grenade, Kendal. I have to think Camby gave his generous cousin a nice under-the-table settlement for taking the rap.

Arvydas Sabonis to trade hoops for sex?

Say goodbye to Arvydas Sabonis, basketball star. Say hello to Arvydas Sabonis, sex maniac.

The Blazers legend and freshly inducted Hall-of-Famer is set to trade his favorite sport for another beautiful thing: sex, and lots of it.

You see, Sabonis suffered a heart attack a week ago during a training game.

He’s OK and was released from the hospital. However, doctors told him he can’t smoke, drink or play basketball anymore.

According to Sabonis, smoking, drinking and shooting hoops are three of the only things he enjoys doing.

“So of the things I like, only sex is left,” he said. So the Lithuanian will be doing the nasty more than ever, apparently.

His condition will be monitored for the next six months. He was one of the best passers ever at his position; now it’s time for him to start shooting and scoring in the bedroom.
