*NBA ATS Matchup Report*

The T-Wolves have not beaten the TrailBlazers at home in 5 years, but they have won 2 straight and are playing with a ton of confidence.

This may be a make-or-break part of the season for the Blazers, who are embarking on a 12-game road trip and with their recent struggles they are now in the 10th position in the Western Conference 1.5 games behind Denver for the 8th playoff spot.

It needs not be said that Portland must play better D than they did in the Saturday home loss to the T-Wolves where Minnesota shot 53.8% from the floor and buried 12 of their 23 3-point bombs.

Kevin Love had a monster game on Saturday going for 42 points and 10 boards and Portland must keep him from getting open looks from deep and getting in the lane to dominate the glass.

All Star LaMarcus Aldridge only had 14 points in the loss to the T-Wolves on Saturday and he has to stop settling for the J and head to the hoop, as in his last 3 games he has not attempted a free throw.

Gerald Wallacehad a good home game against Minnesota going for 25 points, but he is only averaging 9.3 ppg on the road as opposed to 17.1 ppg at home.

He, Jamal Crawford, and Nicolas Batum have to have good games on offense and this is especially the case if the Portland defense struggles again.

The Portland backcourt also has to keep Minn PG Ricky Rubio from getting in the lane and dishing the rock out for easy buckets.

Blazers vs. Timberwolves Handicapping Preview

This season the Blazers are 19-18-1 ATS with an O/U record of 18-20 and the T-Wolves are 21-18 ATS with and O/U record of 17-20-2.

In some other betting trends for this Western Conference match up the Blazers are 6-15 ATS in their last 21 road games, 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games vs. a team with a winning S.U. record, and they have an Under record of 5-1 in their last 6 vs. a team with a winning S.U. record.

The T-Wolves are 2-5 ATS in their last 7 home games, 2-8 ATS in their last 10 games as a home favorite, and they have an Under record of 3-0-1 in their last 4 home games.

Pick: The Blazers do not have any answer for Love and since they are simply not a good team away from Portland the T-Wolves will win this game and cover.
