*NBA ATS Matchup Report*

The Blazers’ road woes have been well documented and away from the Rose Garden they are only 7-18 this season. The Clippers have won 2 of their 3 games facing the Blazers this season.

The key match up in this game has to be at the PF position between Blake Griffin and LaMarcus Aldridge.

Both players lead their team in scoring and rebounding and it is important that Aldridge keeps Griffin out of the lane and makes him take jumpers.

Chris Paul is averaging nearly 13 assists in the Clippers’ 3-game winning streak and in L.A.’s last game he went for 15 points and 15 assists. Blazers’ PG Raymond Felton went for 12 points and 10 dimes in the win over the Hornets last night and he will not only have to play well on offense, but on D against Paul, which is a tall task.

With Marcus Camby now in Houston other players have to step up on the boards to help Aldridge out. J.J. Hickson has played well since signing with Portland and since Clippers C DeAndre Jordon is much more athletic than Blazers’ C Joel Przybilla Hickson will get a lot of PT time tonight.

One major concern for Portland is the play of 6th man Jamal Crawford (13.6 ppg). Even though the Blazers won last night he was 0/6 from the field and in his last 3 games he is a combined 2/23 from the floor and has missed all of his 12 3-pointers.

If the Blazers are going to make a post-season run, they currently trail the Jazz, Rockets, and Nuggets by 3 games for the last playoff spot.

The Blazers will, likely, have to win this game with their defense, as their offense has failed to score over 100 points in their last 5 games.

Blazers vs. Clippers Handicapping Preview

This season the Blazers are 23-27-1 ATS with an O/U record of 26-25 and the Clippers are 25-25 ATS with an O/U record of 24-26.

In some betting trends for this Western Conference match up the Blazers are 3-7 ATS in their last 10 road games, 3-8 ATS in their last 11 games vs. a team with a winning S.U. record, and they have an Over record of 6-2 in their last 8 road games.

The Clippers are 2-6 ATS in their last 8 games vs. a team with a losing S.U. record, 3-7 ATS in their last 10 games following a S.U. win, and they have an Under record of 8-1 in their last 9 home games.

Pick: This one is a tough one to call with the Clippers giving 8.5 points.

Still, with the Blazers on the road and the Clippers rolling I have to go with L.A. to win and cover tonight.
