His record in Seattle as manager is 192–209, including a 93 loss season record in 2005. To this day Hargrove insists his sudden retirement had nothing to do with his Ichiro Suzuki.
Another North West Athlete in the spotlight today. MLB Baseball pro and current San Francisco Giants pitcher Tim Lincecum. He was drafted in both the 2003 and 2005 draft but turned down the Chicago Cubs and the Atlanta Braves respectfully. He is the first pitcher in MLB history to be awarded the Cy Young in each of his first two full seasons.
