The team did fairly well in the Voyageurs Cup play, blowing out Edmonton, before losing to Toronto FC in the last 8 minutes. There was an unexpected 2-1 win over San Jose, before a 4-1 thrashing by New England.

Forwards Etienne Barbara and Darren Mattocks are both very close to returning, with Mattocks back in training. There was a Hassli sighting this week. He scored. Hopefully this breakthrough for Hassli, who had been approaching almost 20 games without a goal, will trigger a landslide.

The only negative is that Vancouver will only face Montreal and Toronto once each, removing the thrill of a pair of home and home Canuck series.
