Spend Paul’s Money! Five positions the Seahawks still need to shore up

Curtis Lofton, LB

Seahawks insider Brandon Choate brings us his list of top five positions the Seattle Seahawks need to shore up. With Marshawn Lynch and Red Bryant re-signing, and the team adding Jason Jones and Matt Flynn, the Seahawks can focus elsewhere and fill other positions that are lacking depth. LB, DE, Offensive line and RB seem to be the most glaring openings in his opinion.

Matt Flynn is the missing piece to my Seahawks Super Bowl dream

Pete Carroll being introduced to Seattle

NWSB Insider and Seattle Seahawks blogger Insider Steve weighs in on the signing of Matt Flynn. Which he says gives the Seahawks flexibility in spades. Not only do they have their QB of the future, but now there is no need to waste valuable 2012 NFL Draft picks. Use the draft to fill in the holes that remain at left guard, defensive end, and linebacker. If Visanthe Shiancoe decides to sign elsewhere maybe tight end.

Quarterback Matt Flynn signs with the Seattle Seahawks

Matt Flynn

NWSB Managing Editor reports today that in 2012 NFL Free agency the Seattle Seahawks have signed former Green Bay Packers quarterback and prized free agent Matt Flynn. He’ll be in competition for the starting quarterback job in Seattle with incumbant Tarvaris Jackson. Pete Carroll has got another QB to try and build this franchise around. We hope it works. More NFL signing to follow hopefully with Visanthe Shiancoe.
