Canucks to Sign Vinny Prospal to a PTO

The 16 year veteran is due to play with the Utica Comets at first, but could eventually join the Canucks later on. In Prospal’s last season with Columbus, he tallied 12 goals and 18 assists, for a total of 30 points.

David Booth headed to Utica

The Canucks made Booth a healthy scratch Oct. 22 against the New York Islanders. Canucks coach John Tortorella told the media that he felt like Booth wasn’t doing enough to play. In his absence, we’ve seen Darren Archibald, Andrew Alberts, Yanick Weber and Jeremy Welsh play; even Pascal Pelletier managed to get a game in with the Canucks.

It doesn’t make sense for Frank Corrado to begin the year in Vancouver

After being one of the final cuts at the World Junior camp last year, Corrado played three games for the Chicago Wolves after his junior season was over before making the jump to Vancouver and playing in three regular season games and four playoff games.
