NWSB Editor and Insider Chris Anderson details players from northwest teams who have received new contracts at the NFL level. This year we saw quite a few standouts from all four Northwest teams (Oregon, Washington, Oregon State, Washington State) get drafted. Jordan Poyer (OSU), Markus Wheaton (OSU), Dion Jordan (UO), Kiko Alonso (UO), Kyle Long (UO), Kenjon Barner (UO), Desmond Trufant (UW), and Marquess Wilson (WSU) went in the draft.

NWSB Editor and Insider Chris Anderson recaps where the Oregon Ducks went in the NFL Draft this year. Five players were drafted from the University of Oregon in 2013, marking the most players in four years that were previously Ducks. Headlining the crew of drafted players was Dion Jordan, who was selected as the No. 3 overall pick by the Miami Dolphins. Kyle Long also went in the first round, being the 20th pick overall and going to the Chicago Bears.

NWSB Editor and Writer preview Oregon’s new uniforms that are scheduled to arrive on August 22nd. As had been rumored, the 2012 set of new uniforms will closely resemble the same style that Oregon wore in the Rose Bowl; helmet and all. The first pictures of the new uniforms surfaced on nikeblog and have created a stir amongst the college football nation once again. Can’t wait to see Kenjon Barner sporting the new digs.
