This year we saw quite a few standouts from all four Northwest teams (Oregon, Washington, Oregon State, Washington State) get drafted. Jordan Poyer (OSU), Markus Wheaton (OSU), Dion Jordan (UO), Kiko Alonso (UO), Kyle Long (UO), Kenjon Barner (UO), Desmond Trufant (UW), and Marquess Wilson (WSU) went in the draft.

Headlining the crew of drafted players was Dion Jordan, who was selected as the No. 3 overall pick by the Miami Dolphins. Kyle Long also went in the first round, being the 20th pick overall and going to the Chicago Bears.

As had been rumored, the 2012 set of new uniforms will closely resemble the same style that Oregon wore in the Rose Bowl; helmet and all. Two a days started this last Saturday with players and coaches citing controlled hitting to limit or prevent injuries.
