Marques Tuiasosopo was a leader and a champion as a Washington Huskies quarterback before entering the NFL with the Oakland Raiders. While his NFL career didn’t pan out, Tui immediately went to work to give back with his alma mater Washington. Soon after, he landed at UCLA as a specialty coach.
NWSB Insider and northwest basketball blogger Blair Thomas tells us about two young men leading Kentucky to the 2012 Final four this week in New Orleans. Kyle Wiltjer entered the season as part of one of Kentucky’s most heralded basketball classes with guard Marquis Teague and forwards Michael Kidd-Gilchrist and Anthony Davis. Terrence Jones has averaged 15.7 points and 8.8 rebounds per game and started 35 of 38 games.

Players like Darnell Gant, Terrence Ross and CJ Wilcox couldn’t step up in the second half of the game after coming out ahead in the first half. They were also terrible from the free throw and 3-point lines.

Clinton Bell one of our Washington Huskies bloggers points out his Huskies career started in 1999, and he was there until 2002. One of the first orders of business for Neuheisel when taking over in Seattle was restoring the Huskies tradition of wearing gold helmets.
