NWSB Managing Editor and Seattle Mariners blogger “Q” tells us today that the Mariners released their 2013 commercials. Not only did they bring back Felix Hernandez to do another one with the classic hot sauce but now Brendan Ryan talks to a Buffalo, which in itself is just classic. The newest season features Dustin Ackley wearing his love for fans on his sleeve.
Danny Ferguson weighs in with his thoughts on the 2012 Starting Pitchers, Bullpen, and Closers for the Seattle Mariners. The M’s have a major overhaul coming to their starting rotation, and their bullpen has a strong core, but needs a few pieces to round it off. Felix Hernandez, Jason Vargas, Hisashi Iwakuma, Blake Bevan, and Brandon League are in for sure.
Mariners blogger Danny Ferguson points out if the Mariners starters could go deep into the game the M’s bullpen could generally prevent too many surprises. Brandon League adapted very well to the closing role. The Mariners have a lot of talent, but there are few differences in the styles and deliveries in these hurlers. David Aardsma coming back will help.
