Newsworthy Optioned down to AAA Tacoma Rainiers were Blake Beavan and Alex Liddi. Also Seattle was swept by the San Diego Padres, but bounced back.

Northwest Athlete Profile: Tim Lincecum

Another North West Athlete in the spotlight today. MLB Baseball pro and current San Francisco Giants pitcher Tim Lincecum. He was drafted in both the 2003 and 2005 draft but turned down the Chicago Cubs and the Atlanta Braves respectfully. He is the first pitcher in MLB history to be awarded the Cy Young in each of his first two full seasons.
