Down The Home Stretch —  Seahawks Host Browns

NWSB writer and Seattle Seahawks Insider, Brian Scott, previews the Seahawks homecoming against the Browns– For years, everyone has talked about how Russell Wilson wasn’t elite, how he wasn’t the kind of QB that could put a team on his shoulders and take them to another level. It was always Marshawn Lynch or the great defense that somehow made Wilson’s contributions something less that elite.

Seahawks Win Big In Baltimore — Move Into 5 Seed

NWSB Writer, and Seattle Seahawks Insider, Brian Scott, breaks down the Seahawks win over the Ravens– The Seahawks may have won big over the Ravens, but it came at a price in terms of injury. Thomas Rawls, whom I already mentioned, is out with a broken ankle. That ends his season. Derrick Coleman will be asked to step in as the next man up. I suspect signing another runner will happen this week as well.

Battle Of The Birds —  Ravens Host Seahawks

NWSB Writer and Seattle Seahawks Insider, Brian Scott, previews the Seahawks as they head to Baltimore– It would be silly to ignore the devastating injuries the Ravens have been saddled with. The Seahawks have had their fair share of injuries too, but in the Seahawks case, the injuries have been a catalyst of team unity, dedication, and desire. For the Ravens, they have simply rolled over and died.

The Seattle Seahawks Plunder the Minnesota Vikings

NWSB Writer and Seattle Seahawks Insider, Brian Scott, reviews the keys to victory for the Hawks as they beat the Vikings 38-7– The Seahawks defense was absolutely suffocating the Vikings. I mentioned already Peterson finishing with 18 yards but the Vikings as a team had just 31 yards. The dominance by the defense allowed the Seahawks to possess the ball for 35:10 vs the Vikings 24:50.

Road Trip — Seahawks Visit Vikings In Key Matchup

NWSB writer and Seattle Seahawks Insider, Brian Scott, previews the Hawks upcoming game against the Vikings– As the NFL playoff picture comes into focus, the Seattle Seahawks still find themselves riding a very fine line. While it’s true if the Seahawks season were to end today they would make the playoffs, there is little to no margin of error for Seattle. Continuing to win is the only insurance for the Hawks in this scenario but their biggest remaining challenge to do so is up next—the Minnesota Vikings.

Seattle Seahawks Offense Awakens—Drops 39 On Steelers

NWSB Writer and Seattle Seahawks Insider, Brian Scott, breaks down the Seahawks huge win over the Steelers– The Seahawks gave up nearly 200 yards of passing in just the first half and in the second half things only got worse for the Seattle secondary. Before leaving with two minutes to play with an injury, Roethlisberger threw for 456 yards against the LOB. The lack of a consistent pass rush allowed the veteran Roethlisberger to sit in the pocket for hours and pick the Legion of Boom to pieces.

Super Bowl XL Rematch —  Seahawks Host Steelers

NWSB Writer and Seattle Seahawks Insider, Brian Scott, share his expectations on the Seahawks matchup with the Steelers in Week 12– The Seahawks also continued to get burned by the 49ers against their tight ends. If I’m an offensive coordinator for Pittsburgh, I’m throwing the ball down the seam to my tight end almost continually until the Seahawks prove to me they can stop that play. In 2015, the Seahawks have yet to do it.

Kaepernick-less 49ers No Match For Pedestrian Seattle Seahawks

NWSB writer and Seattle Seahawks Insider, Brian Scott, breaks down the Seahawks important win over the 49ers if they are to keep their playoff chances alive– A starting NFL corner should be able to handle a tight end. Cary Williams was not up to the task in this one. He was replaced during the third quarter for precisely this reason.

Do Or Die – Seahawks Host Panthers And Must Win

NWSB Writer, and Seattle Seahawks insider, Brian Scott, previews the Seahawks hosting the Panthers on Sunday– No more meltdowns—that’s the easy way to write up what the Seahawks need to do better defensively. After leading 24-7 in the fourth quarter last week, the defense got soft and allowed the Bengals to tie the game, then win it in overtime. That just can’t happen.

Rapid Reaction:  Seahawks Squander Lead, Fall To Bengals

NWSB Writer and Seattle Seahawks Insider, Brian Scott, reacts to the Seahawks stunning loss to the Bengals– A dominant defense. Smart, big plays on offense. Defensive touchdowns. It all added up to type of Seattle Seahawks game we are used to seeing from this team with one exception. They forgot that they are supposed to play four quarters, not three.

Gut Check Time:  Seahawks at Bengals In NFL Week 5

NWSB Writer and Seattle Seahawks Insider, Brian Scott, previews NFL Week 5 for the Seattle Seahawks– On deck for the Hawks is a trip to Cincinnati to face the undefeated Bengals. This is not going to be an easy game for Seattle, especially with their inconsistent play thus far and the fact that the Bengals will likely be looking at this game as a game that can legitimize their place as an NFC power in the conference.

Prime Time:  It’s The Lions And The Seahawks On Monday Night

NWSB Writer and Seattle Seahawks Insider, Brian Scott, previews the Seahawks MNF matchup against the Lions– One thing I do like so far about the Kris Richard version of Carroll’s defense is that he seems to be willing to dial up blitzes a bit more often than his predecessors, Bradley and Quinn. That’s good news too because I feel the Seahawks will have to do that often to get Stafford out of his element and to take some of the pressure off of the Seahawks secondary trying to cover Megatron and Tate.
