Seattle Seahawks pre-season notes: Training Camp day 7

NWSB Rookie Insider and Seattle Seahawks blogger Alistair Corp brings us his 2012 Seahawks training camp notes from the Pre-season. Day 7 Today the A-man weighs in on that QB competition again. He notes Russell Wilson and Matt Flynn are much better at throwing the ball in stride for the receiver, something Tarvaris Jackson struggles with. Injured Doug Baldwin was doing some light route running, but not sure if he did any team drills.

Who has been chosen to enter the NFL Hall of Fame this year, and there couldn’t be a more deserving player. “Tez” was a great player, and all Seahawk fans love him. A player is always more endearing to fans when he has spent his entire career with an organization. Steve Largent and Dave Wyman rave about Tez.

Five Seattle Seahawks deserving of a spot in the Hall of Fame

NWSB Seattle Seahawks insider C-Mac tells us about the five Seattle Seahawks veterans that deserve a spot in Canton Ohio in the Pro football hall of fame. Cortez Kennedy is going in, and besides him Walter Jones, Mike Holmgren, Steve Hutchinson, Kenny Easley and Shaun Alexander should also go in one day. Steve Largent is eagerly awaiting their arrival.

Q reports on the best Seattle Seahawks news we’ve heard in a while today. A panel of 44 media members voted today and the inductions are in early August in Canton, Ohio. One name we will hear being called is former All World Seahawks defensive tackle Cortez Kennedy. He won the 1992 Defensive Player of the Year, on a 1-15 Seahawks ball club. He also made eight Pro Bowls, had 58 sacks. It was time!

Seattle Seahawks blogger and NWSB managing editor “Q” tells us former Seahawks defensive tackle Cortez Kennedy is a Hall of Fame finalist for the fourth consecutive year. He deserves to be in. In the 1992 season he recorded 14 sacks and 92 tackles. Kennedy was named to the All Pro team 4 times and voted into the Pro Bowl 8 times.
