NWSB Insider and Vancouver Canucks blogger Mitch Dyck brings us up to speed on the storylines he’s watching for as we near the 2013 NHL trade deadline. Today the Canucks started the morning off by putting defensemen Cam Barker on waivers for the purpose of sending him to the Chicago Wolves. Shortly after that Nick “the mulligan” Kypreos reported that the Vancouver Canucks had acquired Derek Roy from the Dallas Stars for Kevin Connauton and a 2nd round pick.
Is it just me or are the Vancouver Canucks winning but still not getting any credit? Yes, it’s been four in a row now and NWSB Insider Josh Hall says it’s about time we trust the Captain Henrik Sedin. Who will start against the Dallas Stars Friday? Should it be Cory Schneider? He’s the only one to beat them in three tries. Bah humbug to all you bandwagoners. Shame on you.
Hosh Jall, our Vancouver Canucks insider finally has things straightened out since Zack Kassian recorded two points against Buffalo. When things are going the right way and not reversed, JOSH says that Roberto Luongo and Kari Lehtonen of the Dallas Stars would make for a very interesting goaltending 1st round matchup. Also, what’s this noise about Josh and gelatin? Ryan Kesler loves it…or the Sedins are made of it?
NWSB Insider and Vancouver Canucks writer Josh Hall’s best edition of Oh The Sites We Can See yet. The Dallas Stars await but the Nucks won’t come to Dallas without having some fun. Is Mason Raymond to be traded for something at the zoo? Does Cory Schneider need a nice, soothing massage after that tough game in New Jersey? Maybe Keith Ballard could have used a ride at the Amusement Park for his concussion.
