NWSB Insider and Washington Huskies blogger Chris Hall predicts the staring lineup for the 2012-13 Washington Huskies. Andrew Andrews, CJ Wilcox, Desmond Simmons, Shawn Kemp Jr. and Gilles Dierickx all make the cut on Hall’s list. Nigel Williams-Cross, Darin Johnson, Mike Anderson, Jernard Jerreau and Perris Blackwell are the challengers for Lorenzo Romar’s squad.
NWSB Inside and University of Washington Huskies Insider Erin Acacio breaks down the 2012-13 season for UW head coach Lorenzo Romar. Despite the disappointment of missing the NCAA Tournament the last two years, Lorenzo Romar wants to stay at Washington as long as he can. With a potential starting lineup of Andrew Andrews, C.J. Wilcox, Hikeem Stewart, Shawn Kemp Jr and Desmond Simmons, there’s a lot to like about the future of this program.
NWSB Insider and UW hoops writer Clinton Bell tells us his over and under achiever for the 2012/2013 University of Washington Huskies men’s basketball team. The easy, and even obvious choice for over achiever is CJ Wilcox. Leading the team in scoring, he was the man who needed to step up his game more than anybody else with the departures of Tony Wroten and Terrence Ross to the NBA after last season. Aziz N’Diaye is another overachiever.
NWSB Writer Chris Hall previews the Washington Huskies early in the 2012 season. He details what he’s watching. Mainly Abdul Gaddy. Gaddy has to live up to the hype that has followed him since high school, when he was the second ranked point guard in the nation, behind John Wall and above Peyton Siva and Eric Bledsoe.
NWSB insider and resident hoops man Steve Lee brings us his thoughts on the 2012/13 Washington Huskies basketball program’s strengths and weaknesses. The top Dawgs are gone, and Lorenzo Romar may be left with his worst squad since his arrival in Seattle, but UW do have some strengths held over from last seasons regular season Pac-12 champions. The starting 5 Aziz N’Diaye, Abdul Gaddy, Desmond Simmons, Shawn Kemp Jr., CJ Wilcox.
NWSB insider and resident hoops man Steve Lee brings us his thoughts on the 2012/13 Washington Huskies basketball program. With the loss of both Tony Wroten and Terrence Ross to the NBA, the Huskies are definitely a team without a star. Incumbant big time point man C.J. Wilcox will have his hands full trying to carry the bulk of the scoring. Abdul Gaddy will have to step it up during his senior year to take over this team as the floor general.
NWSB Insider and UW hoops writer Clinton Bell tells us that the Washington Huskies are going to have a very hard time repeating as conference champs this season. With the departures of Tony Wroten and Terrence Ross, this leaves the leadership roles up to Abdul Gaddy and C.J. Wilcox. There are not a lot of imcoming players as of yet either, only two to be exact: Mark Mclaughlin and Jernard Jerreau.
Washington Huskies blogger Clinton Bell tells us UW football tight-end Austin Seferian-Jenkins is a fast and athletic tight end, but what can he be on the hardcourt for the 2012 UW Huskies hoops team? Seferian-Jenkins needs to be careful about this move to the court. Injuries happen. At 6’6″ 258, Seferian-Jenkins will definitely bring some added muscle.
