A fast paced game with a ton of scoring chances, no one could grab the winner. Steve Zakuani was finally brought back up to the first team squad, though he didn’t see any time during the match. Patrick Ianni got the equalizer.

Another game without a win, and it was a devastating loss for the Sounders. 1-4 away to Montreal. The lone bright spot was a late goal a man down to Eddie Johsnon. A red card issued to Jhon Kennedy Hurtado left the Sounders shy of eleven men, and keeper Bryan Meredith just couldn’t keep the ball out of the net tonight.

At press time, the MLS odds were Montreal 2.90 / Seattle 2.40 / Draw 3.25. Eddie Johnson and Fredy Montero have combined for 7 goals so far this season and while the Seattle offense is not a dynamic one these guys are dangerous.
NWSB Insider and Vancouver Whitecaps writer C-Mac weighs in about the impending arrival of Scottish international midfield maestro Barry Robson who now that his English football season is over is joining Whitecaps FC. He’s also still willing and able to play for Scotland should they call on him. In his final season with Middlesbrough Robson was voted by the team’s supporters as Player of the Year.

The resident USMNT member on the Sounders, Evans is a staple in the midfield along with Osvaldo Alonso. As a player at UC Irvine, Evans won multiple awards for his play with the Anteaters, and has the fourth highest single season point total in UC Irvine history.

They apparently took the day off from normal training to hold the first ever Sounders FC Dodgeball Championship. On another side note, here is the goal video by Osvaldo Alonso scored in last-night’s game against Cal FC. What a cracker!
