NWSB Insider and Seattle Mariners’ blogger Brian Scott gives you his ideal starting rotation for the 2014 Seattle Mariners. Right now Brian says that you have 3 players you can pencil in as starters: Felix Hernandez, Hisashi Iwakuma, and Taijuan Walker. While James Paxton will likely be a starter as well, the Mariners should look towards free agency to fill the 5th spot in their 2014 rotation.

The 2014 rotation should look a lot different than the 2013 model. Outside of Felix Hernandez and Hisashi Iwakuma, the rest of the rotation is bound for a youth-based overhaul. Even though we’re only one month into the season, 2013 already looks like another tough year for the Mariners.
