Medina pitched 3.1 innings this week in 3 appearances. He only gave up a single hit and struck out 3 in the process. There isn’t much we can say about Felix Hernandez that hasn’t been said yet.

If the pitching continues, all that is stopping this team from competing is consistent hitting. Kevin Millwood, Blake Beavan, and Felix Hernandez got wins this week.

Along with calling up Stephen Pryor on Friday, the Mariners sent RHP Steve Delabar down to AAA Tacoma.

This week the rotation tossed 45.2 IP with Felix Hernandez and Hector Noesi starting twice. Felix pitched a 1 hitter thru 8 on Saturday.

The Mariners took on Detroit Tigers and swept their 3-game series in D-town. Then headed over the lake to Toronto and won game 1 of their series with the Blue Jays before losing two. Steve Delabar, Lucas Luetge, Tom Wilhelmsen, and Brandon League pitched well in Detroit.
