NWSB Insider and Seattle Mariners blogger Brandon Choate gives us his weekly M’s pitching breakdown in the arms under the spotlight segment. By far the biggest surprise is Yoervis Medina. Medina pitched 3.1 innings this week in 3 appearances. He only gave up a single hit and struck out 3 in the process. There isn’t much we can say about Felix Hernandez that hasn’t been said yet.

Felix Hernandez and Hisashi Iwakuma are pacing the other startes while Tom Wilhelmsen has been perfect in closingh situations. Felix Hernandez, Seattle Mariners

The Mariners pitching staff has really straightened up since the All Star break. The team went 7-3 this week with the King going to 3-0 since the break. If the pitching continues, all that is stopping this team from competing is consistent hitting. Kevin Millwood, Blake Beavan, and Felix Hernandez got wins this week.

Hector Noesi, Seattle Mariners

NWSB Insider and Seattle Mariners blogger Insider Steve gives us his weekly M’s pitching breakdown in the arms under the spotlight segment. The bullpen made strides this week. I understand how that reads considering Brandon League had another meltdown. Felix Hernandez, who was lights out in the week’s opener was rattled in his second start of the week. Kevin Millwood continues to impress.
