Bruce Irvin will join the team as a strong side linebacker (SAM), probably replacing Malcolm Smith as the starter. Smith has played well this season including a big forced fumble against the Texans last weekend. Mike Morgan, or Benson Mayowa could make way for him this week.

First rumored to be heading to the Cleveland Browns on Monday, it was then announced the trade was rescinded because he failed a physical that was required to complete the trade. Many thinking he would perhaps remain in Seattle due to the news of a failed physical, it was just minutes later that he was on his way to the Denver Broncos in exchange for DT Sealver Siliga.

NWSB Editor and Insider Chris Anderson talks about Bruce Irvin’s suspension of four games for using banned substances. Seattle’s somewhat surprise of a first-round pick in the 2012 NFL Draft, reports have come out that he was suspended for using Adderall, a medication that has become all too familiar with the Seahawks. Last year, Richard Sherman (accused) and Brandon Browner was suspended for four games for using the substance, though Sherman fought his suspension and ended up winning.

This move leads Brett to believe that the slim chance of Alan Branch rejoining the team has faded away. He wanted to see Branch come back to the team, and has a feeling that Alan has overestimated his value. He also fired his agent this week. Tough times.
