Brett asks will Quinn be the number 2 guy, an emergency quarterback, or back on the streets come September? Brett says there are several things to be excited about adding Brady to the Seahawks roster. He’s not Josh Portis for starters.
NWSB insider and Seattle Seahawks blogger Brett Bivens brings us his take on another free agency signing today that involved the Hawks bringing in yet another D-Lineman, this time Tony McDaniel. This move leads Brett to believe that the slim chance of Alan Branch rejoining the team has faded away. He wanted to see Branch come back to the team, and has a feeling that Alan has overestimated his value. He also fired his agent this week. Tough times.

The Hawks now have the best group of pass rushing DE’s on the planet. Only 4 teams last year eclipsed the number of sacks (38) that these 4 guys did last year. Watch out San Francisco, the 49ers are going to be running for their lives both on and off the field next year.
NWSB insider and Seattle Seahawks blogger Brett Bivens brings us his take on free agency signing today that involved the Hawks losing DT/DE Jason Jones, and gaining LEO / DE Cliff Avril from Detroit. Avril will fit in the Seahawks system as their new Leo nicely. Over the last three seasons Cliff has amassed 29 sacks in 49 games, a rate of 0.59 sacks per game. With Chris Clemons injury, there has been a big question mark at the Leo position.

Sweezy, John Moffitt, and Braylon Edwards, its plainly obvious the new regime in Seattle would have given Ruskell a coronary!

NWSB Insider and Seattle Seahawks blogger Brett Bivens tells us on Friday the Seattle Seahawks agreed to terms with free agent linebackers LeRoy Hill and Matt McCoy. Both with the club in the 2011/12 season. Hill played in all 16 games for the first time in his seven-year career, registering 89 tackles and 4.0 sacks. Linebacker and special teams stud Matt McCoy also signed a one-year deal.

John Schneider today on KJR Radio with Dave Softy Mahler said he hopes Trufant will come in and compete at the Nickel spot.

Not only did the Seahawks lose a great player, but it left a gaping hole at linebacker. I’ve got just the guy to replace him. Luke Kuechly of Boston College. Seahawks insider Brett Bivens brings us news of a Seattle Seahawks signing this off season. Offensive lineman Frank Omiyale, most recently with the Chicago Bears, has agreed to a one year deal with the Seahawks. After earning the nickname Gate 68, he is ready to come to Seattle and prove he can get the job done.
Seahawks insider Brandon Choate brings us his list of top five positions the Seattle Seahawks need to shore up. With Marshawn Lynch and Red Bryant re-signing, and the team adding Jason Jones and Matt Flynn, the Seahawks can focus elsewhere and fill other positions that are lacking depth. LB, DE, Offensive line and RB seem to be the most glaring openings in his opinion.
