That said, he must find a way to get the starters fewer minutes, and getting Meyers Leonard more time will help also.

In contests against the Phoenix Suns, Denver Nuggets and San Antonio Spurs, L.A. averaged 25.7 points, 6.7 rebounds, 3.3 assists and 1.0 blocks. He also shot an impressive 53.8 percent from the field. The only areas where he can improve is on the glass — although Robin Lopez will help — and in pick-and-roll defense, as Wesley Matthews and Damian Lillard need help up top.

The team has won 11 straight home openers, which is the same amount of nationally televised games it will play this season. Damian Lillard, LaMarcus Aldridge and Nicolas Batum will wrap up their season against Chris Paul, Blake Griffin and the Los Angeles Clippers.
