NWSB Managing Editor Q tells us the players who did not survive the first waive of roster cuts today with the Seattle Seahawks. As hard as it is to add players, either through the draft or free agency, it is much more difficult to release them. On the cutdown list today Phil Bates, Edawn Coughman, Donny Lisowski, Ron Parker, Tyrell Sutton, Roy Lewis, Jamison Konz, Cameron Morrah, Pep Levingston, Terrell Owens, Deuce Lutui, and guard Alex Barron.

Pete Carroll puts a premium on press-rush pressure without a lot of blitzes, he’ll fit in fine.
