Our man C-Mac has his finger firmly on the pulse of the Vancouver Whitecaps in their second season of MLS soccer. What a month. Atiba Harris underwent successful surgery. The team did fairly well in the Voyageurs Cup play, blowing out Edmonton, before losing to Toronto FC in the last 8 minutes. There was an unexpected 2-1 win over San Jose, before a 4-1 thrashing by New England.

Our man C-Mac has his finger firmly on the pulse of the Vancouver Whitecaps in their second season of MLS soccer. Forwards Etienne Barbara and Darren Mattocks are both very close to returning, with Mattocks back in training. There was a Hassli sighting this week. He scored. Hopefully this breakthrough for Hassli, who had been approaching almost 20 games without a goal, will trigger a landslide.

The Whitecaps set an MLS record of 4 games, 67 minutes of shutting out their opponents. Then San Jose opened the flood gate. With the rash of injuries on the team, this week’s bye should help the Whitecaps out in a big way.

Etienne Barbara was a frequent scorer in the NASL and it would be good to get a look at him.
