NWSB Insider and Vancouver Canucks blogger Richard Hodges tells us Chicago Blackhawks defenseman Duncan Keith today was suspended by the NHL for five games for his cheap shot elbow on the Canucks all star forward Daniel Sedin. The suspense for the suspension will be nothing compared to the suspense for the announcement of Daniel’s injury and whether we’re talking days, weeks, or even months.

Breaking News: Mariners Outfielder Greg Halman Stabbed to Death in Holland

Sad news today from Jason Green our Seattle Mariners blogger. Mariners’ outfielder Greg Halman has been fatally stabbed early Monday in Holland. He was stabbed in the city of Rotterdam and his brother has been arrested by the Dutch police as a suspect. Halman was a 6’4″ outfielder that hit .230 with 2 HR and 6 RBI in 35 games for the Mariners last season.
