Grading Neil Olshey’s first year with the Portland Trail Blazers

Neil Olshey

NWSB Editor and Insider Chris Anderson grades Neil Olshey’s first year as the general manager of the Portland Trail Blazers. Coming to the Blazers from the Clippers, Olshey had to deal with an organization that was in a rut and in a mess. All he did was execute two outstanding drafts while securing talent that will help push Portland into the playoffs in the near future. He missed on Roy Hibbert, helped secure JJ Hickson, retained Nicolas Batum, and secured several veterans.

Players the Trail Blazers should target with #10 pick

NWSB Insider and Portland Trail Blazers’ blogger Jason Hartzog talks about what five players he would like to see drafted by the Blazers with the No. 10 pick in the 2013 NBA Draft. There is a mixed bunch drafted at number 10, but judging by history, the odds of drafting at least a role player is pretty high. All the Blazers need is a role player. They need someone to come off the bench and score some points. Targets look like Shabazz Muhammad, Cody Zeller, and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope.
