NWSB Insider Brandon Choate brings us big news out of the University of Washington. Washington just announced it’s 2012 Hall of Fame class and it included two Husky football legends in Lawyer Milloy and Dave Hoffmann. Both Milloy and Hoffmann had stellar careers at Washington, setting records and helping the team to roll to national titles and Rose Bowls.
NWSB Insider and Senior Vancouver Canucks writer C-Mac is back with a post this week recommending Vancouver rally behind Mike Gillis and Alain Vigneault. He says AV may not have the same resume with the Vancouver Canucks organization in comparison to the esteemed and knighted Sir Alex Ferguson of Manchester United, but he has helped the team reach the playoffs 5 times in 6 years
After seeing him on TV this week “Q” decided to write a Northwest Athlete Profile on former NFL punter and Colorado Buffalo and North Delta Secondary school athlete Mitch Berger. In 2008 he won a Super Bowl ring for the Steelers and in the big game had 3 punts averaging a legit 46.3 yards per punt. Kudo’s for a great career and representing Canada in the NFL.
Week 2 NFL action saw Seattle play Pittsburgh, and well, it was ugly. The last time the Seahawks were shut out also came at Heinz Field, as they fell to the Steelers, 21-0, on October 7, 2007.
