It’s hard to blame the game completely on Cody Vaz’s errors, but it has started some grumblings among fans, and the clamoring for Sean Mannion’s return could take place any day now.

The answer will have to wait until Saturday to be answered, but this isn’t all on Vaz. The Beavs still have a shutdown defense that will help Vaz to not need to air it out in his first game.

Plus it was OK’d by Head Coach Mike Riley who was away in British Columbia for funeral services for his late father. I get it. It’s hot out in Oregon in the Summer. Cornerback Rashaad Reynolds declared afterward that the defense won easily.
