NWSB Editor and Insider Chris Anderson talks about the top 5 games on Oregon’s schedule in 2013. While the schedule is riddled with high-profile contests and nationally televised games, none are more enticing than games against Tennessee, Washington, Stanford, Oregon State, and UCLA. Tennessee will become the first SEC in quite some time to make the trip to Autzen, signaling the first great game of 2013 for the Ducks.

Improvements the Beavers can make on offense in 2013

NWSB blogger and Oregon State insider Jon Irwin reports on the areas he thinks OSU’s offense needs to improve in 2013. Mike Riley’s pro-style offense is deep in weapons, but it’s only effective if all the parts are working together. Without fixes to 2012′s problem areas, the team could be in for a disappointing season in 2013. Storm Woods (940 yards) was a huge reason for the turnaround, can it happen again?

Craig Robinson’s job officially on the fence

NWSB insider and Beavers blogger Jon Irwin reports on the job Craig Robinson’s done this year. Once again the OSU Beavers fell short in the Pac-12, and a change could be coming. But can the Beavers afford to cut ties with the notoriety Robinson has helped bring to the table? The NCAA tournament is coming to a close, and with it another disappointing Beavers hoops season will officially be behind us.

NWSB Editor and Insider recaps Oregon State’s 2012-2013 basketball season that ended with a loss to the Colorado Buffaloes in the first round of the 2013 Pac-12 Men’s Basketball Tournament. While the Beavers did have an impressive showing in out of conference play, their record in the Pac-12 kept them out of anymore postseason action. Though the Beavers were able to manage a victory over the Buffaloes on Saturday, they could not repeat their impressive effort in the tournament, falling by a score of 74-68. Unfortunately for the Beavers, Colorado was able to put the game away at the line despite all of the late-game efforts being put on by the men from Corvallis.

Pac 12 Tournament Preview – Day 1

Pac-12 Tournament Logo

NWSB insider and resident hoops blogger Steve Lee is back once again to give us his personal touch on the Pac-12 Tournament. Other than NW sports fans (besides Ducks fans) hoping for Cinderella to show her lovely face in Vegas this year, there’s nothing new to report for the tournament. Arizona, and UCLA are the favorites, with Oregon and Colorado the most likely to pull off an upset special. Beavers, Huskies, and Cougars will need more than a glass slipper to pull this one off.

NWSB Editor and Insider Chris Anderson talks about Oregon State’s recent rebranding efforts that occurred this week. While there have been mixed reviews about the uniforms, Chris notes that there are both good and bad aspects to the new brand at Oregon State. And while the logo and football uniforms receive decent marks, the new basketball uniforms nail it with their modern and bold look.

CJ Wilcox

NWSB Insider and Washington Huskies basketball blogger Steve Lee previews the next portion of UW’s 2013 Pac-12 conference schedule. Looking ahead to the second month of the schedule, the Huskies come off a tough battle against #8 ranked Arizona at the end of January to take on the Sun Devils of Arizona State. The Huskies will have to use their game against the Wildcats as motivation to help them get past a surprising Sun Devils squad that sits one game ahead of them in the conference standings.
