Sean Mannion

NWSB blogger and Oregon State insider Jon Irwin reports on the areas he thinks OSU’s offense needs to improve in 2013. Mike Riley’s pro-style offense is deep in weapons, but it’s only effective if all the parts are working together. Without fixes to 2012′s problem areas, the team could be in for a disappointing season in 2013. Storm Woods (940 yards) was a huge reason for the turnaround, can it happen again?

Since Sean Mannion got enough flack for his sub-par performance, he feels that there were some positives which can be taken away from Saturday’s game in Seattle. The defense, once again, played lights out and did as good a job as they could with the field position the offense put them in.

Upon his first arrival in 1997-98, Riley went 8-14 in a pair of seasons, and went 5-6 in just his second season as head coach in 1998, before leaving to coach the San Diego Chargers in 1999.
