NWSB Editor and Insider Chris Anderson gives you his prediction of Oregon’s offensive starters in 2013. Though the Oregon Ducks’ 2013 college football campaign is still just about four months away, it’s time to start breaking down a team that could very well see themselves in the final BCS National Championship Game (thank the college football gods). Returning stars such as Marcus Mariota and De’Anthony Thomas obviously make it into the starting rotation but there are a few players who may be new to you.
NWSB Editor and Insider Chris Anderson talks about Oregon’s 2013 basketball recruiting class…so far. Taking a look at the Oregon Ducks’ recruiting class, they have already signed seven players (if you include Tyree and Tyrell Robinson as basketball players as well as football players) and apparently still in the running for Anthony January, Jabari McGhee, and Brandon Rosser. Though they did miss out on five-star Aaron Gordon, the Ducks’ recruiting class is still a very good one that will bring in several players who will compliment the likes of Dominic Artis, Damyean Dotson, and Ben Carter.
NWSB Editor and Insider Chris Anderson talks about the weaknesses on Oregon’s 2013 college football roster that could see them fall from the ranks of the college football elite. While the talent is already on the team and there is quite a lot of potential surrounding the Duck athletes, Oregon is lacking proven players on the defensive line and at linebacker.
NWSB Editor and Insider Chris Anderson talks about the upcoming Oregon football spring camp that will begin on April 2. Coming off a year that saw them narrowly miss an opportunity to appear in the BCS National Championship game for the second time in three years–after suffering a loss to Stanford in overtime after the Cardinal tied it up on a controversial touchdown–and their second-straight BCS Bowl win, many may believe that the Oregon football program would be in a state of flux without Kelly.
NWSB Editor and Insider Chris Anderson recaps Oregon’s upset win over the St. Louis Billikens on Saturday. Forwarding their momentum from their victory over Oklahoma State, the Ducks used impressive efforts from Damyean Dotson and Arsalan Kazemi to keep their season going. Despite the win, however, the Ducks still need to cleanup their turnover issue and get Dominic Artis back to continuous production.
NWSB Editor and Insider Chris Anderson talks about Oregon’s big win over the Oklahoma State Cowboys in the second round of the 2013 NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament. The Ducks used a furious attack on the boards as well as an impressive effort form the three-point line to ease past a dangerous OSU team. Eliminating the production of Marcus Smart as well as letting Arsalan Kazemi go beast mode were big contributions in giving Oregon the victory.
NWSB Editor and Insider Chris Anderson talks about Oregon’s recent performance in the Pac-12 Men’s Basketball Tournament as well as their 12 seed in the upcoming NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament. While it was great to see the Ducks win the Pac-12 Tournament for the first time since 2008, their 12 seed is a complete joke and they deserve to be ranked higher. That being said, playing the underdog card throughout the rest of the season won’t be a bad thing, either.
NWSB Editor and Insider Chris Anderson previews the matchup between the Oregon Ducks and the Washington Huskies in the 2013 Pac-12 Men’s Basketball Tournament. Though the Huskies are coming off a win in the first round over the Washington State Cougars in thrilling fashion, the Ducks should be able to draw from their two prior victories over Washington and formulate a solution that will lead them to victory. Look for this game to be thrilling and a lot of fun.
NWSB Editor and Insider Chris Anderson talks about what the Oregon Ducks need to do to get back on track before the Pac-12 Tournament and NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament. The Ducks are a much better team when they play the style of basketball that Dana Altman has groomed them to play, and that is driving to the post and getting the edge on the inside with their big men Arsalan Kazemi and Tony Woods.
NWSB Editor and Insider Chris Anderson talks about Oregon’s terrible loss to the Colorado Buffaloes. Though they will still have a shot to win the Pac-12 on Saturday against Utah, Oregon’s more than humiliating loss to the Colorado Buffaloes on Thursday meant that they could very well end up sharing the Pac-12 Title with UCLA. Oregon would still claim the No. 1 seed in the Pac-12 Tournament with a win on Saturday.
NWSB Editor and Insider Chris Anderson talks about the NCAA ruling that will call the Oregon Ducks to a hearing about their involvement with Willie Lyles. The ruling that Oregon must undergo a hearing in front of head NCAA officials means that this process will likely become a two-year affair that has left those Duck fans in Eugene and around the world feeling a little extra anxiety this holiday season.
NWSB Editor and Insider Chris Anderson talks about Joe Lunardi’s latest braket that has the Oregon Ducks sitting in a 10 seed position. Though conference play has not even started yet, many NCAA Basketball fans are already anticipating the next March Madness. Luckily for most college basketball fans, Joe Lunardi, one of ESPN’s master bracketologists, satisfies everybody’s craving early on in the season with his release of his very early 2013 March Madness bracket.
