NWSB Managing Editor reports today that in 2012 NFL Free agency the Seattle Seahawks have signed former Green Bay Packers quarterback and prized free agent Matt Flynn. He’ll be in competition for the starting quarterback job in Seattle with incumbant Tarvaris Jackson. Pete Carroll has got another QB to try and build this franchise around. We hope it works. NWSB Insider and Seattle Seahawks blogger Clinton Bell tells us its the end of the line for Tacoma’s Marcus Trufant in a Seattle uniform. His bad back and lofty salary finally led to the end of his career with his hometown team. Clinton says Marcus Trufant has always been a class act, and he hopes that he continues his career in the same fashion that he played here in Seattle. NOT in the NFC West.
NWSB Insider and Seattle Seahawks blogger and 12th man season ticket holder Brett Bivens says even if Peyton Manning is ready to go and play at the level he was at in the 2010 season he is better suited for a team that is a quarterback away from being championship contenders. One that has a window that will close in the next couple years. A team that comes to mind for him is the San Francisco 49ers.
