Rich get richer! Reasons to love Seahawks signing Antoine Winfield

Legion Of Boom at M's game

NWSB insider and Seattle Seahawks blogger Brett Bivens brings us his take on another Pete Carroll & John Schneider move this week. They signed Antoine Winfield. He gives the Seahawks a player who they can count on in the secondary. Eventually he will hit a wall where he is no longer effective, hopefully it is not this season. Between Richard Sherman, Brandon Browner, Earl Thomas and Kam Chancellor the secondary looks set.

Matt Flynn is a Raider, now the Seahawks search for a replacement

John Schneider Draft Room

Josh Portis is expected to re-sign. Tyler Thigpen leads Jordin’s list of hopeful replacements. He looks to be the least flashy, and most like Russell Wilson’s style of play. The others are two former players Pete Carroll has had some serious man crushes on, Vince Young, and Matt Leinart.

ICYMI Seahawks snag Tony McDaniel: Another vet via Free Agency

Tony McDaniel

NWSB insider and Seattle Seahawks blogger Brett Bivens brings us his take on another free agency signing today that involved the Hawks bringing in yet another D-Lineman, this time Tony McDaniel. This move leads Brett to believe that the slim chance of Alan Branch rejoining the team has faded away. He wanted to see Branch come back to the team, and has a feeling that Alan has overestimated his value. He also fired his agent this week. Tough times.

Pleading my case for Tyrann Mathieu to be drafted by the Seahawks

Tyrann Mathieu

NWSB Insider and Seattle Seahawks blogger Jordin Ereth gives you his reasoning why your Hawks should take a run at the Honey Badger. Tyrann Mathieu has killed his draft stock due to his off-field issues and disappointing combine results. This will likely drop him to at least the second or third round, giving the Hawks the opportunity to snag him. Jordin is not saying we should reach on him, but if he is available…Pete Carroll & John Schneider are you listening?

A look into free agency Now that the season is over it is time to look towards the future.  As good as the 2012 Seahawks team was there is a good chance the 2013 team will be better, if they add the right pieces.  Of course injuries can effect an entire season. Last week I [...]
