Breaking News: Seahawks re-sign Marshawn Lynch to multi-year deal

NWSB Insider and Seattle Seahawks blogger Brandon Choate tells us the Seattle Seahawks signed running back Marshawn Lynch to a multi-year contract Sunday. The team did not disclose terms of the deal, but Jay Glazer reported it was for four years and $31 million, including $17 million guaranteed.

Cam Newton and Andy Dalton got all the press this season, but Jason doesn’t think it will be long before Locker is the best rookie QB from the 2011 class.

Seahawks Rookie Guard John Moffitt Suspended 4 Games for PED’s

Q reports Seattle Seahawks Rookie John Moffitt has been suspended today by the NFL for using Performance Enhancement Drugs. He’ll begin serving the sentence immediately. Players are allowed to serve suspensions while on IR. Moffitt started and played in 9 games this year for the Seahawks.

Seahawks DE Red Bryant Named NFC Special Teams Player of the Week…NOT!

Seattle Seahawks defensive end Red Bryant was snubbed this week for the NFC special teams player of the week award. They instead gave it to Patrick Peterson of the Arizona Cardinals. Big deal. He ran back an 80-yard punt return for a TD against the Rams. Big Red blocked two kicks versus the Washington Redskins. Enough said.
