Vancouver Canucks blogger Richard Hodges points out with the transaction this week to bring Chris Tanev back to the big club from the Chicago Wolves, this isn’t a panic call-up by the Canucks but rather a testament to their depth that they can afford to keep such a fine prospect in the minors and save him for when they really need him. Alain Vigneault called him an emotional flat-liner.

Jason Green gives us 5 reasons why the Washington Huskies lost bigtime to the USC Trojans on Saturday. QB Keith Price was sacked 4 times, RB Chris Polk rushed for a season-low 36 yards, and then the Huskies came out of the locker room to take the field in the 3rd quarter already down 23-3 and then USC’s Marqise Lee took the kick 88 yards to the house. Oh Oh.

De’Anthony Thomas, Darron Thomas, Boseko Lokomb, Kenjon Barner and Isaac Remington did more than enough to keep Andrew Luck and The Cardinal in check.
