A record setting day by Leon Washington, and an almost record setting day by Russell Wilson were foiled by a last second Dan Carpenter FG as the Miami Dolphins edged out the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday morning.

Seahawks insider Brandon Choate brings us his reasons why the recent dinner date between Seattle Seahawks brass and QB Ryan Tannehill was a smokescreen. Although the Seahawks are in favor of drafting another quarterback, Tannehill’s value will ultimately put him out of reach. The Seahawks have more pressing needs than another QB in the 2012 NFL draft.
NWSB Managing Editor reports today that in 2012 NFL Free agency the Seattle Seahawks have signed former Green Bay Packers quarterback and prized free agent Matt Flynn. He’ll be in competition for the starting quarterback job in Seattle with incumbant Tarvaris Jackson. Pete Carroll has got another QB to try and build this franchise around. We hope it works.
