Felix Hernandez (The King) Pitched nine perfect innings today at Safeco Field in Seattle vs. the Tampa Bay Rays to record the gem. Just this week we said he had an outside chance at the 2012 AL Cy Young award, now he has to be front and center in the conversation doesn’t he? The Mariners won the game 1-0.

The Headline: after 14 long innings an Adam Jones walk off single seals the deal for a Mariner’s loss. The Mariner’s put up 18 hits, but get outscored 5-0 after the seventh inning. Despite the score, Blake Beavan pitched a pretty good game. Eric Wedge was ejected for 2nd time in his M’s career.
