This week Mike Carp and Stephan Pryor start rehab assignments at A High Desert, Jesus Montero stays of the DL, and Adam Moore was picked up by the Kansas City Royals. King Felix leaves for the ASG, and hopefully the few days off will be a blessing for this struggling ballclub.

Did the Mariners Felix Hernandez get a pity vote to the All Star team?

King Felix

Mariners insider Danny Ferguson asks the age old question, since every team has to have one All-Star, did Felix Hernandez get a pitty vote? It is true that he is the only starter in the rotation that deserves the credit, but does his record actually merit the nod? The awards have been changed to supplement the fact that Felix plays for the terrible Mariners, has the all star nomination gone the same way?

Mariners insider Danny Ferguson brings us the Weekly Seattle Mariners notebook. This week Franklin Gutierrez was placed on the 7 day disabled list and Steve Delabar was promoted to take the roster spot. This gives the M’s fewer options off the bench for the next week. The All star game is close. Felix Hernandez is the only guy going. Lets hope the 4 days off will be a good breath of fresh air for the struggling team.
