Looking Ahead: Angels vs. Mariners series preview

NWSB Editor and Insider Chris Anderson previews Seattle’s upcoming three-game series against the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim at Safeco Field. Getting Felix on the mound in game one is huge for a team looking to inch towards the .500 mark as the season draws to a close, and Erasmo Ramirez will hopefully follow up an impressive outing by Felix with one of his own. Harang will get the start in the series finale.

NWSB Editor and Insider Chris Anderson previews the next five games for the Seattle Mariners. The Mariners have looked pretty good as of late. Though they dropped a slugfest to the Boston Red Sox last night in an 11-8 triumph by the visitors, the young guys who have been brought up are making significant contributions and really stepping into big shoes. Brad Miller has shown he can hit in the leadoff spot, Nick Franklin has continued to be stellar, and Mike Zunino is flashing the defensive prowess he needs to focus on right now.

NWSB Editor and Insider Chris Anderson talks about Seattle’s first series win of the season. It certainly wasn’t pretty, but the Mariners finally decided to put together a quality performance and win their first series of the year. Taking 3-of-4 from the Angels, Seattle capped the series by using two late home runs, one by Jason Bay and one by Michael Morse, to propel them to a 2-1 victory. Late heroics of Bay and Morse is nice, but how about the pitching of Hisashi Iwakuma.
