A few of these players are expected to stay on at their perspective universities for this season, but the Lions hope to see them in uniform in the future. One of those players, LB Bo Lokombo, will stay at Oregon in hopes of upping his NFL draft stock this next season.

NWSB Insider and BC Lions blogger Phil “The Bartender” Slater tells us that the Leo’s have reloaded their roster in advance of trying to win the 2013 Grey Cup. Anthony Reddick, the veteran outside linebacker was released, most likely to give Lin-J Shell or Solomon Elimimian additional playing time. Khalif Mitchell & Geroy Simon are also gone. In are Justin Harper, Elvis Akpla, Adrian Awasom, Adrian Awasom and DJ Woods. Lets go!

BC Lions intensify training camp as pre-season opener draws near

With just over 24 hours to go before Wednesday’s tilt with Saskatchewan, Lions hopefuls are still eager to impress Coach Mike Benevides and it appears that many spots are still up for grabs. Could we see Chris Leak, Tyler Palko or Dennis Dixon in a Leo’s uniform sometime soon in the CFL?

Thanks to Wally Buono’s player acquisitions, Coach Mike Benevides will have his cupboards full of talent when camp opens on June 3rd in Kamloops, Travis Lulay, and Andrew Harris are locks to start but there will be plenty of camp battles to keep an eye on in 2012.
