NWSB insider C-Mac brings us an update on your favorite CFL team out of Vancouver. The BC Lions have been busy in the offseason, re-signing Angus Reid, Khalif Mitchell, Arland Bruce, and Anton McKenzie while Solomon Elimimiam departed for Miami.

Riley Trottier one of our BC Lions bloggers reports on the Andrew Harris contract signing. Harris agreed to a contract extension with the Grey Cup-champion B.C. Lions on Thursday. The Winnipeg native became B.C.’s starting running back midway through this season and finished with 458 yards rushing on 96 carries with a TD. Harris added 30 catches for 395 yards and seven touchdowns.

Riley Trottier another one of our men with his pulse on the Vancouver sports beat is back with his prediction that the BC Lions will win the 2011 Grey Cup in Vancouver. This Lions team might not go undefeated the rest of the way, but they will go the rest of the way. And when they lift that cup, no one will be surprised.

Q asks is Paul McCallum making a case as the CFL’s best kicker….ever? Last week was a big one for BC Lions kicker Paul McCallum – so big that he may have vaulted himself into the discussion for the greatest kicker in CFL history alongside the likes of former Lions great Lui Pasaglia.
