Saunders is like Harang for me. Meh.

NWSB Mariners Blogger and our resident Insider the man we call INSIDER Steve is back from Safeco today with pre game coverage of game 1 vs. the Angels. Steve reports from inside the Clubhouse at Safeco. Nick Franklin will be out of tonight’s game still nursing the sore knee that was injured in Cincinnati. The Mariners have sent down RHP Blake Beavan to AAA Tacoma, and RHP Erasmo Ramirez to A Everett.

Question marks regarding the Mariners Kendrys Morales trade

Kendrys Morales

NWSB Insider and Seattle Mariners blogger Danny Ferguson reports on what he believes are prudent questions following the trade between the Angels and the M’s for Jason Vargas & Kendrys Morales. Danny wonders whats up with Justin Smoak now. The reason that Kendrys Morales was an available trade option was due the fact that the Angels had too many first base options. Do the M’s now too?

NWSB Insider and Seattle Mariners blogger Clinton Bell weighs in with another M’s Week That Was. Intended to be a fun column, with lots of laughs and other good stuff. Normally it will be a top 10 list, a la David Letterman style. The week started off with a sweep. The Mariners did find a way to win two in LA. Jason Vargas was back to his winning ways. Remember when the M’s traded for Jesus Montero and Hector Noesi?

The Mariners Felix Hernandez and the 2012 AL Cy Young race

Felix Hernandez, Seattle Mariners

NWSB Insider and Seattle Mariners blogger Britton Ransford weighs in with another M’s article on the 2012 AL Cy Young chances for the M’s ace King Felix Hernandez. He says the stiffest competition is coming from Jared Weaver, Chris Sale, Justin Verlander and C.C. Sabathia. IN his last 11 starts, 2 months and 82.1 innings since that dreadful Tuesday night, Felix has a record of 6-0 with a 1.72 ERA.

NWSB Insider and Seattle Mariners blogger Clinton Bell tells us to him the best “MY oh MY” play of the nineteenth week of the year had to be Jesus Montero’s two homer game against the Angels on Sunday. Any time the Mariners can beat the Angels in Anaheim is sweet, especially if we beat Jarred Weaver while doing it! Montero went deep on two 1-1 counts in the 2nd, and 6th innings.

Brandon League

NWSB Insider and Seattle Mariners blogger Clinton Bell weighs in with another M’s Week That Was. Intended to be a fun column, with lots of laughs and other good stuff. Normally it will be a top 10 list, a la David Letterman style. No hitter vs LA, and two out of three in Anaheim against the Angels highlighted this past week. Ichiro is still playing good ball at the one spot, Felix Hernandez went down with injury, and Stephen Pryor wins his first game amidst the no hitter.

NWSB Insider and Seattle Mariners blogger Clinton Bell weighs in with another M’s Week That Was. Intended to be a fun column, with lots of laughs and other good stuff. Normally it will be a top 10 list, a la David Letterman style. 21 runs in a single game, not the norm for the Seattle Mariners. Justin Smoak named offensive player of the week, Stephen Pryor hits 100 on first MLB pitch, Ichiro goes deep twice in Chicago.

Weekly Seattle Mariners recap: Series pitching vs. Texas, L.A. Angels

Hector Noesi, Seattle Mariners

NWSB Insider and Seattle Mariners blogger Insider Steve gives us his weekly M’s pitching breakdown in the arms under the spotlight segment. The bullpen made strides this week. I understand how that reads considering Brandon League had another meltdown. Felix Hernandez, who was lights out in the week’s opener was rattled in his second start of the week. Kevin Millwood continues to impress.

Brandon League

NWSB Insider and Seattle Mariners blogger Clinton Bell weighs in with another M’s Week That Was. Intended to be a fun column, with lots of laughs and other good stuff. Normally it will be a top 10 list, a la David Letterman style. Coming off of a weekend sweep in Colorado, the M’s were quickly back to their losing ways by the weekend. Brandon League loses his spot, Chone Figgins gets back in a game, and the Rainiers make an appearance at Safeco Field.

Seattle Mariners vs. Detroit Tigers Gambling Odds & preview

NWSB Insider and Seattle Mariners blogger Clinton Bell tells us to him the best “MY oh MY” play of the eight week of the year had to be the Ozzie Smith-esque play by Mariners shortstop Brendan Ryan. On a 1-2 pitch by Hector Noesi Bobby Wilson grounded to center field. Brendan Ryan comes out of nowhere, snags the ball, spins, and in mid air throws Wilson out by a step and a half.
