Brett is very happy with the way the roster is shaping up. Be aware that the preliminary 53 man roster is just that, preliminary. He loves that the Seahawks kept Greg Scruggs. Deon Butler is a bit limited due to his size so Brett’s happy he was let go.

Game balls are awarded to the Hawks offensive MVP Vai Taua, what a game for the halfback/fullback. Mike Morgan was flying around the field and making plays on D. Steven Hauschka missed his second field goal of the preseason, but nailed two.

Matt Flynn, Korey Toomer, Kregg Lumpkin, Pierre Allen, and Jermaine Kearse are the five he’s pegged. It would help their roster chances if they beat up on the Silver and Black tomorrow night.
NWSB Insider and Seattle Seahawks blogger Brett Bivens brings us up to speed on the storylines he’s watching Friday night at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City when the Seahawks visit the Chiefs in NFL preseason action. Brett says Charly Martin has been the best surprise and he thinks its time for Golden Tate and Ben Obomanu to make a statement. The other receiver who must show up is Terrell Owens.
Seahawks insider Brett Bivens brings us news of a new signing in Seattle. Running back Kregg Lumpkin, formerly with the Green Bay Packers and Tampa Bay Buccaneers, has agreed to an undisclosed deal with the Seattle Seahawks. Lumpkin will come in and compete for the backup job with Leon Washington and any other RB who joins the roster. Don’t expect Justin Forsett back in 2012.
