How long until one of these talented goaltenders is out of the picture?

NWSB Insider and Vancouver Canucks blogger Ben Lypka weighs in with his analysis on the big Canucks game tonight between the Devils and Van City. Welcome back to town Cory Schneider. Also, welcome to town Jaromir Jagr. For years, Cory Schneider was an incredibly patient solider for the Vancouver Canucks. Tonight on the ice at Rogers arena he’ll face off against his friend Roberto Luongo.

Could Canucks use outdoor game for jersey change?

Could these be part of the new uniform lineup? (canucks.nhl.com)

NWSB Insider and Vancouver Canucks’ blogger Josh Hall gives you some options should the Canucks choose to debut new uniforms next year at BC Place. Am I suggesting the retirement of the beloved Orca? Perhaps that is the easiest option regardless of its popularity, which is split down the middle. The club added the killer whale to its uniforms back in 1997, two years after Orca Bay Sports and Entertainment was founded.

Pavel Bure – Vancouver Canucks one true Hall of Famer

HHOF

NWSB Insider and Vancouver Canucks blogger Steve Lee weighs in today with another post on recent Hockey hall of fame inductee and former Canucks superstar Pavel Bure. Steve says it would be ridiculous for the rest of the hockey world to celebrate the Russian Rocket’s achievements and not see Bure’s jersey hanging in the rafters with Stan Smyl, Trevor Linden and Markus Naslund.

Vancouver Canucks All-Time BEST goaltender…And the winner is

kirk mclean

NWSB Insider and Vancouver Canucks blogger Steve Lee weighs in today with another post in our Moments In Time series. Kirk McLean, Roberto Luongo, and Richard Brodeur all had one thing in common, they all backstopped the Canucks to the Stanley Cup Finals and they all came up short of hoisting hockey’s holy grail. Lockout got you down? *My* top five Canucks moments in time

Rypien vs. Mayers Moments In Time

NWSB Insider and Vancouver Canucks blogger Mitch Dyck weighs in today with some thoughts on the Canucks thru the years in a flashback post detailing his top five moments in time. Number One. Canucks vs. Flames. April 10th, 2010. It was also the first time and unfortunately the last time I got to see Rick Rypien fight in person. A fond and great memory Mitch will always have.

Vancouver Canucks Roberto Luongo is a future Ring of Honouree

luongo

With Roberto Luongo seemingly headed out of town and across the continent one way or another, Josh Hall tells us why Bobby Lu deserves to be a future inductee into the Ring of Honour. The Vancouver Canucks won’t be the same without him which is indeed why he deserves said honour. Luongo and Kirk McLean along with Richard Brodeur are the only goalies in franchise history to play over 20,000 minutes.

Wayne Gretzky has #99 problems and his daughter is one

wayne gretzky

Richard must be eating some wacky froot loops this week because this one is way off the charts and yet the way he brings the hockey related scandals full circle is nothing short of genius. From the Vancouver Canucks wives being swapped…apparently…allegedly…to Paulina G. strutting around Las Vegas or Los Angeles…somewhere that starts with LOS/LAS, this one’s a doozy.
