Seahawks vs. Mariners: Who really holds our heart?

12th Man Flag Space Needle

NWSB Insider and Seattle Mariners blogger Clinton Bell brings us a special piece about the difference between the Mariners and the Seahawks. History shows us that teams get more fan support when they win, but even if defeat, the Seahawks fan base has been much more supportive than the Mariners. I give the ownership’s of these two teams credit for that. The Seahawks ownership is always moving forward, while the Mariners ownership seems content on being a lousy team.

2013 Cactus League: Five things I’m watching for in Peoria

Felix Hernandez Mariners

NWSB Insider and Seattle Mariners blogger Clinton Bell weighs in with 5 things he is watching out for this year at Mariners spring training. Cactus League play is under a month away, and pitchers and catchers report in less than a week, and this year the M’s have a lot of question marks heading in. From the olden days of the Kingdome, to the newer heroes of the Clink, the Seahawks have had some damn fine talent on their side. Of course Chuck Knox, Mack Strong, Steve Largent, and Cortez Kennedy made the list, but there are some others here like Norm Johnson, Ken Hamlin, Warren Moon, and Curt Warner who need the love too.

NWSB Insider and Seattle Mariners blogger Clinton Bell tells us to him the best “MY oh MY” play of the fourteenth week of the year had to be the strikeout collection of lone Mariners All-Star Felix Hernandez. With the nasty fastball that Felix has, the M’s haven’t seen this kind of domination since Randy Johnson left town. If the Mariners want Felix to be a star on this team for the future, they better find a way to make him happy and score runs more regularly.

Ichiro Fever! Getting excited about the Mariners games in Tokyo

The Kingdome Mariners

NWSB Insider and Seattle Mariners blogger Danny Ferguson reports on the opening two games in Tokyo between the M’s and the A’s. He says some things to look foward to include Taking in Ichiro Suzuki Fever. Ichiro is bigger than cheeseburgers are in America, the Mariners are guilty by association, meaning we will see cheering like the 1995 playoffs. That will be a nice change.
