Pitcher Erasmo Ramirez started the season on the starting roster but found himself to be the odd man out and was soon sent to Tacoma. After grooming himself a little in AAA, Ramirez is back and ready to make a statement.

Normally it will be a top 10 list, a la David Letterman style. No hitter vs LA, and two out of three in Anaheim against the Angels highlighted this past week. Ichiro is still playing good ball at the one spot, Felix Hernandez went down with injury, and Stephen Pryor wins his first game amidst the no hitter.

Kevin Millwood went 6 no hit innings again this season, leaving early with an injury, but the M’s bullpen led by Stephan Pryor and five others kept the no hit bid in tact. A little luck was in play as well, as the game winning hit was deflected off of Dodgers short stop Dee Gordon’s glove, allowing Ichiro to score from third.

The Mariners needed just 1 run, and without it this magic night never happens. Kevin Millwood aside, I think this night really goes to the bullpen. The rest of the series could go either way but the M’s will look to pick up as many wins as possible as they try to ascent the standings.

Shortly after his last start, it was reported that Felix Hernandez suffered a back injury. According to Shannon Drayer Hernandez was in noticeable pain. Along with calling up Stephen Pryor on Friday, the Mariners sent RHP Steve Delabar down to AAA Tacoma.

Peavy has a challenge quieting a Seattle offense that has scored 31 runs over two games.

Millwood has allowed just one run and eight hits in 22 innings during his three-game winning streak.
