NWSB Insider and BC Lions blogger Steve Lee brings us his 2012 CFL BC Lions mid-season grades. On offense the Leo’s go as Travis Lulay goes and he has continued to prove that last years stats were no fluke. On defense led by the duo of Adam Bighill and Anton McKenzie and the tag team of Keron Williams and Khreem Smith who have tallied 11 QB sacks, the Lions have found multiple ways to halt their opponent.
NWSB Insider and BC Lions blogger Phil The Bartender Slater weighs in with his Week 7 CFL preview for the Saskatchewan Roughriders vs. BC Lions from Vancouver’s BC Place. Maybe the change of venue is all that needed for a changed result. After a week three loss to Saskatchewan, BC has shown signs of dominance especially on the defensive side. A two game winning streak can be attributed to the more consistent play of Travis Lulay.
NWSB Insider and BC Lions blogger Phil The Bartender Slater weighs in with his Week 6 CFL preview for the BC Lions vs. Toronto Argonauts from Toronto. Tim Brown ranks 4th in return yards but that’s in large part to a defence that forces punts. QB Travis Lulay had a tremendous game in Calgary finding his big name targets with relative ease.
NWSB Insider and BC Lions blogger Phil The Bartender Slater weighs in with his Week 5 CFL preview for the BC Lions vs. Calgary Stampeders from Calgary. After the lull in the loss to Saskatchewan, Andrew Harris had a magnificent bounce back game against Edmonton. The Leo’s will need more of this and an upgrade by Travis Lulay and Geroy Simon to get a win in Calgary on Saturday.
NWSB Insider and BC Lions blogger Phil The Bartender Slater weighs in with his Week 4 CFL preview for the Edmonton Eskimos vs. BC Lions from BC Place in Vancouver. The Lions need to shore up their tackling on D, stiffen up the coverage on specials, and find some rhythm on the offence. It’s Brent Johnson night. Be there as #97 gets enshrined in the Ring of Honour.
NWSB Insider and BC Lions blogger Reggie Gill after each week of the regular season and possibly during the CFL playoffs should the Leo’s be so lucky will stop by and bring you his B.C. Lions game balls. Balls are awarded to the Leo’s offensive MVP Kierre Johnson, and on defense this week Adam Bighill. ON special teams nobody significant stood out except the hellacious coverage units of the Leo’s.
NWSB Insider and BC Lions blogger Phil The Bartender Slater weighs in with his Week 2 CFL preview for the Hamilton Tiger-Cats vs. BC Lions from BC Place in Vancouver. Both of these offensive units are chocked full of talent with skill all over the field and we could quite possibly see these two teams meeting in the playoffs. Travis Lulay and his arsenal of receivers should go off for numbers equal to that.
NWSB Insider and BC Lions blogger The Bartender Phil Slater gives his 5 Fearless Predictions for the Lions 2012 CFL Season which will see them defend their Grey Cup…hopefully in Toronto come season’s end. The outlook is good as Phil says this could be the best O-Line in Franchise History. D-line love as well as 3 of the 4 Grey Cup starters return in Khalif Mitchell, Khreem Smith and Keron Williams.
