NWSB insider Blair Thomas brings us his analysis on the Gonzaga Bulldogs newest addition to the NBA, and more specific, the Los Angeles Lakers family. British Columbia, and Gonzaga product Robert Sacre was taken with the 60th pick by the Lakers, in a move that could be more benefitial to the Lakers depending on what happens with Pau Gasol. Sacre follows fellow Zags members Rony Turiaf, and Adam Morrison as members of the Lakers.

Shaq Still Salty About Nash’s Back To Back NBA MVP Awards

What a week for Shaquille O’Neal. He’s basically saying our Victoria BC boy Steve Nash doesn’t deserve two NBA MVP awards. In 2004-05, Nash took a 29 win team from the season before, and with a majority of the same key players as the year prior (minus Stephon Marbury), turned that squad into a 62 win team and the best regular season record in the NBA. Nash’s second MVP came as a bigger surprise to many around the league.
